From the VFW POST 2645 Commander’s Desk:
Year-end update of 2021
Well comrades, 2021 was a good year for those of you who attended the Post meetings and took advantage of the activities held at the Post.
However, the Post was informed by the building owner that our lease is up as of December 31, 2021. We are no longer in a 24/7/365 exclusive use agreement.
We are now in an "as needed” shared space agreement through December 31, 2021. The building owner will be converting the space commonly known as the VFW Clubroom into a Youth Empowerment Center.
Our access to the building will need to be coordinated with the building manager, Vanessa. As of January 1, 2022, any VFW Post 2645 Elected Officer needing to access the building must contact Vanessa at 248-356-9423, who has our meeting schedule. We are allowed one hour prior to a meeting for set up, two hours for meeting time, and ½ hour clean up after each meeting the following applies to the contract:
If anyone has questions specific to the new lease agreement, please contact either the Commander or Quartermaster.
Please remember to support all VFW Posts, "no matter where”, by attending their fundraiser functions!
